Zoey's Baptism

We had Zoey baptized June 6th. The same priest that married Joe and me performed the ceremony and did a wonderful job. He's a close friend of Joe's family and has baptized both of our nephews as well. We went down to his church in Redondo Beach, it's such a beautiful church and the ceremony was really intimate and just perfect. Zoey enjoyed having the water poured over her head, probably because Joe practiced with her in the bath every day for the week leading up to the baptism. :) She wore the same dress I did when I was baptized. It's crazy how much she looks like me when I was a baby.

We had a celebration back at my parent's house later that day which Zoey slept through. THE. WHOLE. PARTY. I managed to get a few pictures before she knocked out. The girl slept for 6 hours straight, we took her home and she then slept another 7 hours. We were bummed she missed the entire party but I wouldn't dare wake a sleeping baby!

We decided to do a taco bar since it was a warm day. We cooked up some chicken and steak in our crockpots, shredded it up and got rice and beans from our favorite mexican restaurant. We had Nothing Bundt Cakes for dessert. Their bundt cakes are so delicious, I may or may not have had one of each flavor! So Cute Cookies made the most adorable favors that were as delicious as they are cute.

It was such a great day and the first of many celebrations for our girl!

  1. Zoey is looking so cute in these pics. I liked the decoration and setup for the party and looks like it was a very enjoyable event. I’m also organizing a party on the occasion of my son’s first birthday next week. Already found the perfect party space for the event at one of the well-known San Francisco venues.
